This is something that I deal with daily. But I have some ways to deal with it that help a lot. Disclaimer: I’m not a therapist and I’m not an expert. I’m just telling you my personal tips. For anyone wondering what song I’m listening to: You need to calm down by Taylor Swift.

Tip #1: Drive Alone. I love driving alone or with my dog. I don’t like having others in the car. it makes me nervous. I feel like I’m being judged and stuff. I use car rides to process my emotions and honestly? Sometimes it’s the only alone time I get in a day. So I enjoy it all the more. I also LOVE to listen to music while I drive and that helps me concentrate and keeps me calm.
Tip #2: Don’t drive at night if you can help it. Where I live it gets SUPER dark at night and that’s not always safe. It just does me good to drive during the day. I don’t usually have to drive at night so it’s not a big deal.
Tip #3: Don’t drive when you’re emotional or anxious. Just don’t if you can help it. If you have to do it, do it carefully and wisely.
Tip #4: Drink water 🙂
