I wanted to share some simple truths with you today. I hope that in sharing them you can relate and perhaps be helped by them.
The first truth is that you are okay. Listen to your heart beating. You’re alive and well. Sometimes we need to bring it down to the most basic truth. Sometimes we need to take it one heartbeat at a time. Sometimes we need to take it one breath at a time.
The second truth is that you are valid and you do matter. Think about it, you have purpose and you do have a story to contribute to this world. Don’t forget that simple truth. Sometimes we forget this. Sometimes we forget that our story is important.
The third truth is that your emotions are valid and you have every right to feel them. Sometimes we get sad and even depressed. That’s okay! Did you know that at least 3.8% of the population has depression? So it isn’t uncommon! Don’t feel alone for being depressed. But there are so many things you can do about it! You can talk to people, you can go to therapy. You can do a social media detox (I’m doing that) And you can do so much more than that.
The fourth and final truth is that you are more then you are a great person and you have a lot to offer the world! <3
